Energy Transition: STE and Eurial Lait accelerate with Oléo 100 and XTL

As part of the AGRIAL 2035 Climate Plan, we are strengthening our energy transition strategy to reduce the carbon footprint of our transport activities. Our goal is to significantly cut CO₂ emissions linked to the transportation of dairy products while promoting local and sustainable solutions.

STE (Société de Transport EURIAL), responsible for the logistics of dairy products, has integrated the Oléo 100 biofuel into its fleet, with 30% of its vehicles now running on this alternative energy. Produced from French non-GMO rapeseed, Oléo 100 is 100% biodegradable and reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 60% and fine particles by 80%. This solution is perfectly suited to the requirements of refrigerated transport. After an initial deployment phase at our La Crèche platform, six new trucks have just been put into service in Villeroy, bringing the total number of Oléo 100-powered vehicles to ten.

On its side, Eurial Lait has begun transitioning its milk collection trucks with the introduction of XTL fuel. Derived from recycled used oils, this synthetic fuel enables a 90% decarbonization, reducing overall consumption per truck by 20%.

This initiative is fully aligned with the AGRIAL 2035 Climate Plan, particularly with the commitments of our Pillar 1: Preserve the Earth and Life, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality. By adopting Oléo 100 and XTL, we are choosing alternative fuels to diesel—more sustainable and responsible—to reduce the environmental impact of our transport activities while supporting a more virtuous French agricultural sector.

Drivers also benefit from personalized support for handling these new vehicles, with a continuous training programme tailored to the evolving transport professions and sustainability challenges.
