Plan climat 2035

Taking action against climate change is our top priority

Developed in 2022 and approved by the Cooperative’s Board of Directors, the Agrial Climate Plan includes two major commitments :

  • Halve

our greenhouse gas emissions by 2035 from our industrial and processing sites

  • Reduce by 35%

our carbon footprint within the scope shared with farmers

We are committed and fully mobilised!

To ensure a sustainable dairy industry and dairy products, we have made 12 concrete commitments, from farm to fork.

Pillar 1

Save the planet
and life on earth

Nature is our shared treasure and we must do everything we can to preserve it. We have made reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to agroecology our top priorities.

Contribute to carbon neutrality together

Reduce GHG emissions from dairy farms and increase CO2 storage by developing agroecological practices. Reduce GHG emissions from our dairies, processing activities and transport.

Reduce emissions that pollute

Treat and monitor the quality of 100% of the water discharged by our dairies and cheese factories.

Combat waste and litter

Combat waste at every stage of our process. Aim for zero organic waste and recycle or recover 100% of waste from our sites.

Implement eco-friendly packaging

100% of our packaging will be recyclable by 2035 and made from recycled materials.

Continue with our transition towards agroecology

Support dairy farmers in developing agroecological practices and animal welfare, thanks to the cooperative's advisors, who are involved in the Our Pathways to the Future programme.

Preserve water resources

Reduce water withdrawals by 35 % by 2035

Pillar 2

Provide healthy and safe food for all

To feed populations, we produce and process milk, rich in essential nutrients. This why it is our duty to preserve all of its benefits through the products we provide.

Recipes made from natural ingredients

Follow our Clean Label product development charter For simpler, more natural products

Preserving the nutritional qualities of our products

Develop industrial processes to preserve the nutritional and taste qualities of products from agroecological farms and organic farming

Develop food solidarity

Donate more than 500 tonnes of yoghurt and cheese and more than 100,000 cartons of milk to organisations fighting food insecurity every year.

Pillar 3

Give Agrial’s women and men and their territories the chance to grow

Our members like our employees are our primary wealth, they are the focus of our attentions. Through them and our activities we contribute to a complete local ecosystem which is important for us to preserve.

Discover our HR policy

Guarantee all our employees have a quality work environment that is meaningful

Help our employees progress through training and bringing them closer to the agricultural world

Contribute to developing our regions and local life

Actively contribute to the vitality of rural areas, with % of jobs located in municipalities with fewer than 10 000 inhabitants, thanks to our agricultural and industrial activities.

Continue developing ambitious participatory and cooperative governance

1 member = 1 vote 580 farmers are elected across the AGRIAL Cooperative, and all member livestock farmers share in the value they have created.
