As part of Agrial’s climate plan, our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint by 35% by 2035 across all our activities (Scopes 1-2-3).
Our milk collection:
Through our Nos Chemins d’Avenir program, 53% of our dairy farmers have begun a progress initiative with an initial carbon assessment, identified action levers, and a Climate Bonus. The advisors of our cooperative support our member farms in adopting sustainable practices and developing agroecology.
Our processing activities:
Since 2019, more than 40,000 tons of CO₂ eq have been avoided thanks to:
- 29% CO₂ eq reduction in our owned transport, thanks to flow optimization, eco-driving, and alternative fuels.
- 12% CO₂ eq reduction in our packaging, notably through plastic reduction, and we are actively working on recycling the polystyrene used in our yogurt pots.
- 11% CO₂ eq reduction in our energy, through energy-efficiency projects and the development of renewable energy.
More than 40 projects are currently underway and 70 others are being studied! Our reduction of greenhouse gas emissions will continue to accelerate in the coming years.
